I am part of a team of educators and filmmakers creating a multi-platform documentary time-capsule that will be filmed on one day (October 10th - 10/10/10) in EVERY country in the world.
We hope to get school groups involved by providing teachers with educational toolkits including syllabi, lesson plans, demonstrative videos, and slides; for the purpose of guiding students through the process of shooting a 1-day documentary. Our course materials are flexible and can be integrated as a project into any subject, and for any length of time.

Peace One Day, a UK-based non-profit, has just launched its FREE online multimedia resources for US schools (grades 6-12) to advance active learning in the areas of conflict resolution, global citizenship, human rights and the link between sustainability and peace, using Peace Day 21 September as a focus.

I am establishing this group as I plan on moving to California (San Francisco area) for graduate school and would love to become a German teacher in a High School there. It would be a good place for German Teachers in California to chat.
