Honoring Our Veterans

This group is for educators to join and share ideas on how they are celebrating Veteran's Day. My students asked me why they must attend school on this special holiday? I asked them how many of them were veterans and how should they be honored? There was no response. It gave me a great segway into how special this day is and how we should honor Veterans and soldiers serving today. Do you have some great ideas? Please share them with the group!
