Professional Learning Community for Technology Education

This is a group of elementary teachers that coordinated their efforts into creating an online technology resource guide for teachers. We meet periodically to discuss innovative ways to integrate technology into our daily lesson plans. Each time an activity, lesson, resource or professional development experience is discovered we add it to our tech manual and upload it to our school eboard for easy file sharing.

The Ayn Rand Institute offers free class sets of books to teachers and essay contests to students

The HistoryMakers is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution founded in 1999, committed to preserving, developing and providing easy access to an internationally recognized archival collection of thousands of African American video oral histories.
It is designed to promote and celebrate the successes and to document movements, events and organizations that are important to the African American community and to American society. The HistoryMakers is sharing its collection through The HistoryMakers Education Institute and through The HistoryMakers Speakers Bureau, live public programs and its interactive website -- www.thehistorymakers.com.
