I am observing in a 5th grade classroom. The teacher had to cover anything in the classroom that could give students information during standardized testing. The room quickly went from cheerful to dreary. They have another round of testing in two weeks. She was deciding whether or not to take down the coverings only to put them right back up. I suggested that she decorate the coverings with encouraging words for the test. She like the idea :) Signs can be laminated to save from year to year. The covering is an unfortunate requirement for testing...just one way to make the best of it.
