I put my two sons, ages 6 and 8, on the site. At first, they thought it was kind of fun. Then they started making fun of it. By the time they went through the entire site (about 20 minutes), they were saying how boring and dumb it was. I think my quasi-research shows it's not for the over-6 crowd.

Hello, I teach third grade and starfall seems a little young for the majority of my students. On the other hand, over half of my class is English Language Learners and two of them are ELL level 1. This site has actually been extremely helpful for them with learning the basic sounds and words. Also, they do not have access to a computer at home and enjoy being able to spend some time on a computer. Their confidence in computer use and reading has improved. It is very beneficial for them.
