This is my 1st year teaching 3rd grade & I was wondering if anyone knows of any websites where my students could practice their math skills. They are learning their multiplication facts right now, so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
There are a list of fun and interesting math games to play with your classroom here: http://www.richgamesforlearning.com/mathslist.html
January 8, 2011, 12:00 am [ report as inappropriate ]Funny thing... In one of my college classes we just went over the third grade math TAKS from 2009 and boy was I surprised. Also, I'm currently sitting in and observing a third grade classroom and I find they have the most trouble with knowing how and what to get "rid of" in math problems. I haven't found many websites for teaching multiplicaiton problems, but I would suggest looking for sometihng that helps with word problems. The math TAKS is full of them. I had to explain to my third grade class that some things in the problems are not important and can be ignored. They had so much trouble with those!
