For instance, my middle school studnets absolutely loved it when I taught them a short-cut for multiplying by 5 (divide by 2 and move the decimal to the right one place). They so loved it - we did more and I believe it really helped their confidence and enjoyment of math.

This is a group of educators who are starting a charter school in Sheboygan. We are trying to focus on individualized curriculum using online courses, real-life learning, student motivation and aptitudes as the cornerstones.
